The Macks Ear band swim is specifically designed to create an effective seal in combination with 'in-ear' earplugs. Although the band itself is not completely waterproof when submerged, it keeps out splashing water and secures the earplugs. Use & Dosage
Always to be used in combination with "in ear" earplugs for swimming such as Mack's for children or Get Plugged swimming earplugs. Although the EarBand keeps water out during light splashing, it is not designed to be waterproof. They are intended to keep water out while swimming earplugs are in the ears. This creates a waterproof combination! With normal use in a swimming pool with certain amounts of chlorine, washing would not really be necessary. If you still want to do this, ensure that the band has plenty of fresh air when drying and wash the band with normal tap water.
