When you wear a wound dressing or compress, the fear of moisture or it coming loose can limit your freedom of movement, especially while showering or swimming. An unprotected dressing quickly becomes dirty and wet, which is not only unhygienic but also reduces wearing comfort. Fixomull Transparent offers a waterproof barrier that acts as a second skin, so you can continue your daily activities without compromising the protection of your wound.
- Fully waterproof design allowing you to shower, bathe or swim worry-free while your underlying dressing remains dry.
- The adhesive mass in a grid pattern ensures a breathable layer, allowing perspiration to escape and keeping the skin healthy.
- Very skin-friendly material that moves flexibly and prevents friction, which counteracts the formation of new wounds.
- Easy to cut to size from the 10-metre roll, making it suitable for both small and very large areas.
How it works
Fixomull Transparent is a non-sterile fixation film that offers a firm yet flexible attachment. The unique feature of this product is its semi-permeable structure: it keeps water and bacteria out, but allows water vapour from the inside to pass through. This creates an optimal climate for the skin under the film. The red edge indication helps with accurate application, even on difficult parts of the body.
