Ingredients
The active substance in this medicine is nicotine. Excipients: medium-chain triglycerides, basic butylated methacrylate copolymer, potassium hydroxide (E525), croscarmellose sodium (E468), polyethylene terephthalate film and polyethylene terephthalate film, siliconised and coated on one side with aluminium.
Use & Dosage
Use a new patch every day: apply in the morning upon waking and remove at bedtime. You should do this for the suggested duration of 12 weeks. Continuing therapy is not useful if the user has not stopped smoking after 1 month of treatment. Heavy smokers (> 15 cigarettes per day): Start treatment with Nicorette Invisi Patch 25 mg for 8 weeks. Afterwards, gradually reduce to 15 mg (2 weeks) and 10 mg (2 weeks). Maximum dosage: 1 patch per 24 hours.
Safety & Disclaimer
Do not use if allergic to nicotine or excipients, in persons under 18 years of age, or in non-smokers. Do not use in case of a recent heart attack, severe heart rhythm disorders, or stroke. Remove the patch before an MRI procedure to prevent burns. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, use only on the strict advice of a doctor. Consult your GP when using other medication such as antidepressants or beta-blockers. Stop immediately in case of severe skin reactions.
