The ECOstyle Wasp Trap uses a physical funnel principle in combination with an attractive, homemade liquid. Wasps are attracted by the sweet scent of the lemonade or juice in the bottle. Once they have flown inside through the opening of the trap, they cannot find the exit. By adding a dash of vinegar to the mixture, you prevent useful pollinators such as bees and bumblebees from being attracted to the trap.

Fill a bottle halfway with a sweet liquid, for example lemonade or apple juice, and add a dash of washing-up liquid and vinegar. Vinegar is important because otherwise bees will be attracted. Press the cap firmly onto the bottle neck. Place or hang the filled bottle with a string at a height of approximately 1.5 - 2 metres in a tree or near plants. Avoid placing it close to doors or windows to prevent wasps from flying into your home. The wasp trap is intended for outdoor use only.
