Occlusion therapy in children requires patience and, above all, a patch that feels comfortable on the delicate skin around the eye. A patch that sticks too tightly or seals the skin can cause irritation and resistance in your child, which hinders the effectiveness of the treatment. The Opticlude silicone maxi girl eye patches have been developed with skin-friendly materials to make covering the eye comfortable and easy for the whole family.
- Microporous and breathable backing material prevents irritation and keeps the skin under the patch healthy.
- Hypoallergenic water-based acrylate adhesive layer is extremely gentle on sensitive children's skin.
- Optimal fit fits well to the facial contours without hindering the eye muscles.
- Latex-free design minimises the risk of allergic reactions during long-term use.
How it works
These eye patches use the trusted Micropore quality from 3M. The patch creates a complete seal necessary for effective occlusion therapy, while the skin-friendly adhesive ensures that the patch can be replaced daily without discomfort. Breathability is essential to prevent moisture build-up on the skin.

Use & Dosage
Applying: When applying, place the 3M™ Opticlude™ eye patch on grease-free, dry skin. First remove the paper backing on the back of the 3M™ Opticlude™ eye patch. Close the eyes lightly, relax facial muscles, no squinting eyes or muscles. Start at the nose and then towards the side of the face. In case of strong adhesion, first stick the 3M™ Opticlude™ eye patch on your own hand. Press the 3M™ Opticlude™ eye patch firmly for optimal adhesion. Removing: When removing the eye patch, carefully loosen the patch edges with a damp wet cloth. Remove the eye patch 'low and slow' from the nose towards the ear: close to the skin surface and rolling over itself. (Do not lift the skin at an angle) Support the skin with the other hand. Afterwards, treat the skin if necessary.
