How it works

The PersonalFit PLUS breast pump set is designed based on in-depth scientific research into the anatomy of the lactating breast. Ingredients

This product contains no liquid ingredients or chemical compositions. It is manufactured from high-quality, breast pump-compatible plastics that are suitable for cleaning at high temperatures and sterilisation.

Use & Dosage

The reusable PersonalFit PLUS breast shield is compatible with the reusable Medela Symphony breast pump sets and with the Medela breast pumps Swing maxi, Swing, Freestyle and Harmony. PersonalFit PLUS breast shields are available in different sizes. Consult the manual of the breast pump/breast pump set for instructions on operating the breast pump and breast pump set.

Cleaning and hygiene:
- Clean the breast shield thoroughly before using it for the first time. Perform both steps «After each use» and «Once a day».
- Clean the breast shield immediately after use to prevent milk residues from drying out and to prevent bacterial growth.
- Use only drinking-quality water for cleaning.
- Be careful not to damage any parts when using a brush.
- Do not use abrasive dishwashing/cleaning agents to clean the breast pump, parts of the breast pump or parts of the breast pump set.

Before first use / after each use:
- Rinse the breast shield with cold, clean water (approx. 20 °C).
- Clean it in plenty of warm soapy water (approx. 30 °C). Preferably use dishwashing liquid without artificial fragrances and colourings (pH-neutral).
- Rinse in cold, clean water (approx. 20 °C).
- As an alternative to manual cleaning, you can also clean the breast shield in the dishwasher on the top rack or in the cutlery basket with a standard dishwashing detergent.

Before first use / once a day:
- Ensure the breast shield is submerged in water and boil it for at least 5 minutes. Instead of boiling, you can use Quick Clean bags in the microwave according to the instructions.

Drying / storage:
- Dry the parts with a clean cloth or place them on a clean cloth to dry.
- Store the breast shield in a clean storage bag or clean environment. Do not store it in an airtight container/bag. It is important that all remaining moisture dries out.

Safety & Disclaimer

- The breast shield is intended for personal use by only one person. It must not be used by multiple mothers.
- Use only original Medela accessories. Inspect before each use. Replace mouldy, damaged or worn parts.
- Never leave the packaging and parts unattended. Keep out of reach of children.
- Pressing shields too firmly onto the breasts can affect milk flow.
- Consult a lactation consultant in case of problems or pain.
