Learning to drink from an open cup is a big and exciting milestone in your child's development. However, this transition is often difficult, resulting in choking, spilling, and an unnatural neck posture. This can cause restlessness for both parent and child during the daily routine. The Difrax Genius Training Cup Pistachio offers soothing and responsible support. Thanks to the smart design, your child learns to drink independently in a natural, controlled way, which contributes to a relaxed and positive experience for the whole family.
Key benefits
- Safe and controlled drinking: The unique slow-flow insert slows down the liquid flow in a natural way, which significantly reduces the chance of choking.
- Ergonomic posture: The specially shaped rim ensures that your child can continue to drink upright without straining the neck or tilting the head backwards.
- Supports oral development: The design was developed with insights from neuro-speech therapy and supports healthy speech and oral development.
- User-friendly and transparent: Thanks to the ergonomic handles and the light weight, the cup is easy to hold, while the transparent colour helps you to easily monitor the contents.
- Durable and safe: Completely BPA-free and dishwasher safe for optimal convenience and hygiene in the household.
How it works
The Difrax Genius Training Cup has been carefully composed based on insights from neuro-speech therapy. The core of this design lies in the combination of the slow-flow insert and the specific shape of the drinking rim. Where traditional cups often allow a fast, uncontrolled flow of liquid, this insert doses the flow accurately. This gives your child the time to coordinate the swallowing reflex in a natural way. In addition, the recess in the rim prevents the head from having to be tilted backwards, which keeps the airway clear and stimulates an upright, safe drinking posture. When your child has mastered the technique, the insert can be easily removed to use the cup as a normal open cup.
