When your baby is ready for a faster feeding flow or thicker feeds, a standard teat can cause restlessness and frustration during feeding. Greedy drinkers or babies who are ready for a larger flow need a teat that moves with their natural suction and the consistency of the feed. Dr. Brown's Narrow Neck Teat Y-cut offers the right support for this transition phase from 9 months, making the feeding moment comfortable and relaxed for the whole family.
These teats are manufactured from high-quality, clinically tested silicone with a very soft texture. Unlike the standard teats from Dr. Brown's, the Y-cut variant is not moulded but provided with a specific incision. This makes the teat flexible enough to let thicker liquids, such as porridge with carob bean gum, pass through smoothly. Because of this specific design, there is an increased sensitivity to tearing during intensive use, which requires regular checks for wear.

Bottle teat. Suitable for all Dr. Brown's Standard neck bottles. Replace teats every six weeks, or sooner if they show signs of wear.
PLEASE NOTE: Unlike other Dr. Brown's teats, the Y-cut teat is not moulded, which means there is a potential risk of tearing. You may need to replace this teat sooner than a regular teat. This occurs, for example, when using fibre-rich porridge (e.g. carob bean gum).
