How it works

Lactase (ß-D-galactosidase) is the enzyme that is normally produced in the small intestine to split lactose into glucose and galactose. When the body does not produce enough of this enzyme itself, lactose cannot be optimally absorbed. Mattisson Lactase Optiferm provides this enzyme in a stable form, obtained from the fermentation of the fungus Aspergillus oryzae.
