How it works
Carelastin contains azelastine hydrochloride, an anti-allergic medicine that inhibits the action of histamine. Histamine is the substance released during an allergic reaction to, for example, pollen or house dust mites and is responsible for the well-known symptoms. By locally blocking this reaction, this nasal spray helps to control the hypersensitivity of the nasal mucosa without burdening the entire body.
