How it works
Strepsils contain the active ingredients amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol. These substances work locally in the throat to combat microorganisms that cause irritation. Ingredients
amylmetacresol 0.6 mg and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg. Excipients: strawberry flavour 052312B, propylene glycol (1520), benzyl alcohol (E1519), anthocyanins (E163), sodium saccharin, tartaric acid, liquid maltitol (E965), isomalt (E953).
Use & Dosage
Adults and children over 6 years: Suck one lozenge slowly every 2 to 3 hours, maximum 12 lozenges per 24 hours. Use for a maximum of 3 days. Maintain 2-3 hour intervals and suck the lozenge slowly.
Safety & Disclaimer
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine. Must NOT be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult a GP in case of shortness of breath, complaints on one side of the head, inability to drink/swallow, drooling, chronic illness, or if the sore throat lasts longer than 10 days with fever.
