This product contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic of the amide type with a short and powerful action. It temporarily blocks pain signals in the nerves of the skin and mucous membranes. Ingredients
Lidocaine, polyethylene glycol ointment, polyethylene glycol 3350, propylene glycol (E490) and purified water.
Use & Dosage
Adults: Use 1 to 5 grams of ointment per application for an adult of 70 kg. Do not use more than 10 grams of ointment at a time. This means that you can use a 35-gram tube at least three times. When you have applied this maximum amount, you must wait at least 8 hours before you apply a second dose of the ointment. You may use a maximum of half a tube per day. In adults with a body weight of less than 70 kilograms, in the elderly and in children, this product should only be used on the advice of a doctor.
Safety & Disclaimer
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine or to other local anaesthetic medicines. This medicine contains 250 mg of propylene glycol per gram of ointment, which can cause skin irritation. Do not use this product in newborns younger than 4 weeks with open wounds or large damaged skin areas without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. This product may be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Read the package leaflet before use and pay attention to the maximum daily dosage.
