How it works
Colex enema belongs to the group of laxatives that stimulate bowel movements by introducing fluid into the bowels. The combination of disodium hydrogen phosphate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate attracts water in the colon. This softens the stool and increases the volume in the rectum, which activates the natural bowel movement. As your trusted health partner, VitAdvice offers this remedy as a supportive method when dietary advice alone does not provide sufficient results.

Ingredients
The active substances in this medicine are disodium hydrogen phosphate (31.8 mg/ml) and sodium dihydrogen phosphate (139.1 mg/ml). The other substances (excipients) are sodium benzoate (E211), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), sodium hydroxide and purified water. The cannula contains a thin layer of paraffin on the outside.
Use & Dosage
The recommended dosage is one container of 133 ml per treatment. Because approximately 15 ml will remain in the container, the actual administered dose is approx. 118 ml. There are 2 positions that can be used for administration. Insert the cannula via the anus and squeeze until almost the entire contents have disappeared. It is normal for a small amount of liquid to remain in the cannula. Maximum dosage: 1 per 24 hours. Do not use for longer than 2 weeks without the advice of a doctor. Colex enema is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age. Without medical supervision, it should not be used in children up to and including 12 years of age. Children need help with administration.
