Usage
Shoyu and Tamari are flavour enhancers, the healthy liquid counterparts to stock cubes. They suit both Western and Eastern cuisine. Use them not only to salt dishes but also to enhance the natural flavour of ingredients, during cooking and at the table. The flavour of Shoyu is characterised by a sincere alcohol note, resulting from the fermentation of wheat. This is why the product cannot withstand prolonged heating and should be added at the end of the cooking process to preserve the flavour. Shoyu pairs perfectly with pickles, wok dishes, rice, noodles, sushi, sashimi, or steamed vegetables, as well as with mirin (rice wine), wasabi, ginger, or grated daikon.
