How it works
Strepfen contains flurbiprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Unlike standard soothing tablets, this product addresses the underlying swelling and inflammation in the throat. The lozenge is formulated so that the active ingredient is released gradually as you move the tablet around your mouth, ensuring optimal local distribution and effectiveness.

Ingredients
Active ingredient: flurbiprofen 8.75 mg. Excipients: macrogol 300, potassium hydroxide (E525), lemon flavouring (contains butylhydroxyanisole (E320)), levomenthol, invert sugar (honey), liquid glucose (contains wheat starch and sulphur dioxide (E220)) and liquid sucrose.
Use & Dosage
For adults and children aged 12 years and older. Take one lozenge into the mouth and suck on it slowly. Always move the lozenge around the mouth while sucking. The lozenges should work within 30 minutes. Thereafter, take one lozenge every 3 to 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 5 lozenges per 24 hours. Maintain 3-6 hours between doses.

Do not use if allergic to flurbiprofen or NSAIDs, in case of stomach ulcers, bleeding, severe heart, kidney or liver failure, or during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Not suitable for children under 12 years. Do not use for more than 3 consecutive days. Read the patient information leaflet before use. Consult a doctor in case of shortness of breath, swallowing problems, or if the sore throat persists for more than 10 days with fever.
