This medicinal chewing gum works locally in the stomach. By chewing, the active ingredient calcium carbonate is gradually released, which contributes to the conversion of stomach acid into water and other endogenous substances. Ingredients
Calcium carbonate, acesulfame potassium, isomalt, menthol, copovidone, sorbitol, sucralose, magnesium stearate, colour: brilliant blue, extra flavourful peppermint and gum base.
Use & Dosage
Adults and children aged 12 and over: The recommended dosage is 1 or 2 chewing gum(s) as a single dose after a meal and at bedtime, in case of heartburn or stomach pain. Extra chewing gums may be taken if symptoms return, but no more than 8 chewing gums per day. Pregnant women should not use more than 5 chewing gums per day. Chew the gum for at least 15 minutes. Do NOT swallow the remaining chewing gum.
Safety & Disclaimer
Do not use if: allergic to calcium carbonate, too much calcium in blood or urine, kidney stones, severely impaired kidney function, or low phosphate levels in the blood. Not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist after 7 days, in case of severe abdominal pain, or if vomiting blood. Do not use simultaneously with large amounts of dairy or specific medication (see package leaflet).
