Once the fruit is fully grown, the inside dries into a dense network of sturdy, flexible fibres. In Egypt, these fruits are harvested by hand, peeled, deseeded and cut to size. Usage & Dosage

Rinse the sponge thoroughly before first use. When the sponge is dry, it feels stiff and has an abrasive effect. Submerge the sponge in warm water with a mild dish soap before use; the sponge will immediately swell and become soft and flexible. After use, squeeze excess water out of the sponge, shake out any food residues and hang the sponge by the cotton loop to dry. To ensure hygiene, the sponge can be cleaned regularly in the washing machine or by hand.
