How it works
The unique effect of Gaviscon is based on the formation of a protective raft layer. As soon as the liquid comes into contact with stomach acid, it forms a foam layer that floats on top of the stomach contents. Ingredients
A dose of 10 ml of suspension contains 500 mg of sodium alginate and 267 mg of sodium bicarbonate. Excipients: calcium carbonate, carbopol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), sodium saccharin, aniseed flavour, sodium hydroxide, erythrosine and water.
Use & Dosage
Take undiluted after every meal and before going to sleep, shake before use. Adults and children from 10 years: if necessary, 10 to 20 ml of suspension 4 times a day. Children under 10 years: if necessary, 10 ml of suspension 4 times a day. Maximum dosage: 40-80 ml per day. Read the package leaflet before use.

Do not use if allergic to any of the substances or in case of severely impaired kidney function. Do not use with a salt-free diet, kidney and heart conditions. Contains methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate. Take two hours after other medicines. Do not use for longer than 14 days.
