How it works

Reactine contains the active ingredient cetirizine dihydrochloride, an anti-allergic medicine known as an antihistamine. When you come into contact with substances you are allergic to, your body produces histamine, which causes the well-known symptoms. Use & Dosage

Take with a large amount of water. In case of moderate to severe impairment of kidney function: half a tablet once a day. If there is no improvement in the complaint after 3 days of use, consult a doctor. Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older: 10 mg once daily (1 tablet once daily). Children aged 6 to 12 years: 5 mg twice daily (half a tablet twice daily). Patients with moderate to severe impairment of kidney function are advised to use 5 mg once daily. Maximum dosage: 0.5-1 tablet per 24 hours.

Do not use in case of severe impairment of kidney function (creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min), allergy to cetirizine dihydrochloride or excipients, or in case of hereditary galactose intolerance. This medicine may reduce reaction speed; be careful when driving. Must NOT be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult a doctor in case of epilepsy or prostate problems.
