Ingredients
One gram of this product contains 100 mg povidone-iodine. The other substances in this product are macrogol 400, macrogol 4000, macrogol 6000, and purified water.
Use & Dosage
The ointment should be applied several times a day, depending on the area to be treated. It is necessary to cover the entire area with, for example, a plaster or gauze. In principle, change the dressing daily or every other day, depending on the condition of the wound. For severely inflamed or moist wounds, apply every 4-6 hours to maintain the best effect. When the brown colour fades, the ointment must be reapplied. Avoid regular or prolonged application of large quantities on extensive skin areas in elderly patients who are prone to producing too much thyroid hormone and in patients with kidney problems. Due to the permeable nature of their skin and an increased sensitivity to iodine, the use of povidone-iodine in newborns should be kept to an absolute minimum.

Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine. In case of an overactive thyroid or other thyroid disorder, do not use on large areas of skin. Stop use immediately in case of redness, itching, or pain on the skin. Consult a GP for babies or toddlers with burns, large blisters, burns larger than half the size of a hand, or wounds on the face, hands, feet, or genitals. Avoid prolonged exposure of large quantities on the skin. Be careful in case of kidney function disorders or simultaneous skin treatment with mercury. Do not use for the prevention of tetanus. For external use only. If there is no improvement, do not use for longer than 14 days without consulting a doctor.
