Separating household waste is an important step towards a more sustainable life, but using traditional plastic bin liners partly negates the environmental benefit. Plastic bags pollute the compost stream and are difficult to process. The Biomat compostable waste bags of 40/60 litres make your waste collection completely plastic-free, allowing you to contribute to a cleaner world with ease and hygiene.
- Certified according to EN 13432 and OK Compost Home, which guarantees full biodegradability, even in the home compost heap.
- Manufactured from corn starch without genetically modified raw materials for a purely natural waste solution.
- Durable and tear-resistant design that can withstand the daily load of household waste without leaking.
- Ensures hygienic collection of organic waste, which helps maintain a fresh kitchen environment.
- Produced in Germany, which stands for high quality and a lower ecological footprint due to local production.
How it works
These waste bags are an innovative alternative to polyethylene bags. The corn starch used reacts to the natural micro-organisms in compost, causing the bag to break down at the same rate as the organic waste inside it. This creates a closed loop. The material has been specifically developed to provide strength during use, while leaving no harmful traces in nature after disposal.
