Chocolatemakers Awajun 52% dark milk: a smart, conscious indulgence. Pure organic, Fairtrade quality from Peruvian Criollo cocoa. 100% plastic-free, solar-powered production, and gluten-free. For the whole family. Enjoy responsibly!
This organic and Fairtrade cocoa is grown by the Awajun people along the banks of the Cenepa and Rio Santiago rivers in the Amazon rainforest. They are members of the NorAndino cooperative, an organisation with approximately 5,000 members, including 1,800 cocoa farmers, spread across northern Peru, both on the coastal and Amazon sides. In addition, we support NorAndino with a special project. They process part of the cocoa harvest themselves in their own cocoa factory. The factory in Peru is larger than the factory in Amsterdam, featuring a modern production line for high-quality organic and Fairtrade cocoa mass.
