HG Coffee Machine Descaler Based on Citric Acid has been specially developed to dissolve limescale particles in a mild yet extremely effective way. Citric acid is a natural acid that breaks down the hard calcium and magnesium compounds of limescale, without affecting the internal pipes and fragile parts of your machine. This ensures a quick, odourless operation that completely restores the hygiene of the water reservoir and the flow system, which is essential for the perfect temperature and pressure during coffee brewing.

Pour 75ml of HG coffee machine descaler into the water reservoir and fill it up to 750ml with water (diluted 10 times). Let this solution work for 10 minutes. Turn on the appliance and let half of the liquid run through. Turn off the appliance and let the product work for 10 minutes, then let the rest of the liquid run through until the reservoir is completely empty. After the treatment, rinse the appliance at least 3 times with clean tap water. For a pod coffee machine, you may first place a pod holder with a used coffee pod in the machine. This will catch any limescale residues. This can prevent a possible blockage of the outlet opening.
Attention: Transport and store the bottle upright. Always read the instructions for your espresso or pod coffee machine before use. If in doubt about using the correct descaler, we always advise you to use the HG coffee machine descaler lactic acid. Lactic acid is milder than citric acid and therefore even safer for your valuable appliance, but descales just as effectively. Note: do not inhale any vapours coming from the appliance! Avoid prolonged contact with stainless steel and aluminium.
