Reduced flow or a bitter aftertaste in your daily coffee can indicate a build-up of limescale in your valuable espresso machine or pod coffee machine. When limescale accumulates in the pipes, it not only affects the temperature and taste of your coffee, but it can also lead to malfunctions and a shorter lifespan for your machine. HG Coffee Machine Descaler Based on Lactic Acid offers a mild, yet extremely effective solution for thoroughly removing limescale. This allows you to maintain the pure taste of your coffee and supports the optimal operation of your machine, fitting within a conscious and careful lifestyle.
Lactic acid is an organic acid that dissolves limescale in a mild and controlled manner. Unlike more aggressive acids, lactic acid is less likely to damage the internal materials of your coffee machine, while effectively breaking down limescale deposits. This ensures a thorough cleaning of the pipes and the heating element, which contributes to a constant temperature and even pressure build-up during coffee brewing.

Pour 125ml of HG coffee machine descaler lactic acid into the water reservoir and fill it up to 750ml with water (diluted 6 times). If the water reservoir is smaller than 750ml, dose 100ml of the descaler into the water reservoir and fill it up with water to 600ml (diluted 6 times).
Let this solution work for 10 minutes.
Then turn on the machine and let half of the liquid run through.
Turn off the machine and let the product work for 10 minutes, then let the rest of the liquid run through until the reservoir is completely empty.
After the treatment, rinse the machine at least 3 times with clean tap water. For a pod coffee machine, you may first want to place a pod holder with a used coffee pod in the machine. This will catch any limescale residues. This can prevent a possible blockage of the outlet opening.
