How it works

Devaron contains colecalciferol, better known as vitamin D3. This substance is identical to the vitamin D that the human body produces in the skin under the influence of sunlight. Vitamin D3 plays a crucial role in the regulation of calcium and phosphate balance in the blood. By promoting the absorption of these minerals in the intestines, Devaron ensures healthy mineralisation of the skeleton. This makes it an important tool in the prevention of bone decalcification and the maintenance of strong bones and teeth.

Triglycerides, silicon dioxide, potato starch, sucrose, dl-alpha-tocopherol, vitamin C, LACTOSE monohydrate, dicalcium phosphate, polyethylene glycol 6000 and magnesium stearate

Use & Dosage

For vitamin D deficiency 400-800 IU (1 to 2 tablets) per day, depending on exposure to sunlight, skin colour, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Dosage for osteoporosis: 800 IU (2 tablets) per day. Use in children: For vitamin D deficiency 400 IU per day. However, Devaron should not be used in children aged 0 to 4 years if these children are already using infant formula or follow-on milk, as this food already contains extra vitamin D. Dosage for kidney disorders: Contact your doctor before use if you have kidney function disorders. Your doctor will determine the correct dosage for you. Dosage for liver disorders: For liver function disorders, the normal dosage can be maintained. Swallow tablets without chewing or dissolve first in milk, porridge or other liquids. If there is no improvement in the complaint after 14 days of use, consult a doctor. Read the package leaflet before use. Pay attention to the maximum daily dosage.

Do not use if: You are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine; When you suffer from too much calcium in the blood (hypercalcaemia) or in the urine (hypercalciuria) - always consult your doctor; If you suffer from Besnier-Boeck disease (sarcoidosis); If you have an overactive parathyroid gland (hyperparathyroidism); If the amount of vitamin D in your blood is too high; If you suffer from kidney stones (nephrolithiasis) due to an increased calcium level in the urine - always consult your doctor; If you have too much vitamin D in your body (hypervitaminosis D). During pregnancy and breastfeeding, do not use more than 1 tablet of Devaron per day, unless advised otherwise by a doctor. Be careful when using if there is uncertainty about vitamin D deficiency and/or intoxication, or chronic intestinal and/or pancreatic conditions. Do not use together with certain medicines or other vitamin D-containing products, see package leaflet. Not suitable for children aged 0-4 years who use infant formula or follow-on milk.
