Use & Dosage
To switch on the thermometer, press the I/O button. A beep indicates that the thermometer is switched on. At the same time, a segment test follows (check of all segments on the display and an intensive function test). Then, if the temperature of the sensor is less than 32°C, an L and C will flash. The L stands for low (lower than 32°C). During measurement, the current temperature is shown continuously and C flashes during the entire measurement time. After approx. 6 seconds, the measurement is performed. With oral or rectal measurement, the final temperature is displayed approximately after approx. 60 seconds, from that point the temperature only changes slightly. However, with the axillary measurement method, a measurement duration of 5 to 10 minutes must be maintained. The signal tone can then sound repeatedly. Because the contact between the temperature sensor and the armpit is worse than with oral and rectal measurement, the rise in temperature is slower, which leads to this effect. After the measurement, the measured temperature remains on the display until the thermometer is switched off. Switch off the device after use by briefly pressing the I/O button. You will hear the signal tone again. If the device is not switched off, the signal tone will sound after approx. 8 minutes and the device will switch off automatically.
