How it works
This hydrocolloid wound dressing uses an innovative matrix of polymers. As soon as the dressing comes into contact with wound exudate, it forms a cohesive gel. This process stimulates autolytic debridement (the natural cleaning of the wound) and facilitates the migration of epithelial cells, which is essential for healthy skin renewal. The polyurethane top layer acts as a barrier while the dressing itself is flexible enough for anatomically challenging locations.

Ingredients
Wound contact layer of hydrocolloids, adhesive polymer matrix, top layer of polyurethane film.
Use & Dosage
Clean the wound with 0.9% physiological saline. Dry the surrounding skin with a compress. Choose the desired size of the dressing so that it overlaps the wound edges by 3 cm. DuoDerm Extra Thin may be cut to size if necessary. Remove the protective film from the back of the dressing, avoiding contact of the fingers with the adhesive layer as much as possible. Apply DuoDerm Extra Thin in a rolling motion without stretching the dressing. Warm the dressing with your hand for good adhesion around the wound. In difficult anatomical areas, it may be useful to secure the edges of the dressing with hypoallergenic tape. DuoDerm Extra Thin may be left in place for up to 7 days. Removing the dressing: press the skin down next to the wound dressing and carefully peel back a corner of the dressing with the other hand.
