How it works
Voltaren Emulgel extra strength uses diclofenac diethylammonium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Unlike general painkillers, this gel specifically targets the deeper tissues in joint pain caused by osteoarthritis in the knee or fingers. The emulgel technology combines the properties of a gel and a cream, allowing the active ingredient to be efficiently absorbed through the skin while simultaneously having a cooling and nourishing effect.

Use & Dosage
For adults: Apply the gel every 12 hours (preferably in the morning and evening) to the painful area. Maximum dosage: 2x per 24 hours. Open and close packaging according to instructions in the package leaflet. Gently rub in the gel. The required amount varies depending on the size of the painful area. Normally, an amount the size of a cherry to a walnut will be sufficient. Wash hands after application, unless they are the area being treated.

Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to diclofenac or other NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or acetylsalicylic acid. Do not use during the third trimester of pregnancy. Stop use immediately if a skin rash occurs and contact a doctor. Do not apply to damaged skin, eyes, nose, mucous membranes or other sensitive body parts. Contains butylhydroxytoluene and propylene glycol which may cause skin irritation. Do not apply to breasts if breastfeeding. Read the package leaflet before use.
