Preparation
Add boiling water (100°C) and allow to steep for 3 minutes. Bring fresh water to the boil. Spring water is highly suitable but not essential; use it particularly if tap water is hard or has an unpleasant taste. Rinse the teapot or cup with boiling water to pre-warm. Place the tea bag in the pot and allow the tea to brew. For a stronger or lighter flavour, adjust the steeping time or use a second bag. Stir the tea briefly before pouring.
