How it works
The Braun PRT2000 uses Age Precision technology, because medical research shows that the definition of fever varies between babies, toddlers, and adults. By setting the age category, the thermometer adjusts the threshold values for the colour-coded fever indicator. The device is BPA-free and designed for professional accuracy for oral, axillary (underarm), or rectal use.

Use & Dosage
1. Switch on the thermometer by pressing the on/off button. You will hear a short beep and the display segment check is performed. After the segment check, the last measured temperature value is displayed for 2 seconds. Then the age symbols scroll across the display.
2. Select the age by pressing the Age Precision button. The thermometer has 3 settings: 0-3 months, 3-36 months, and 36 months to adult age.
3. Perform the measurement. After approximately 8 seconds, a confirmation beep sounds: 1 long beep for normal temperature, 10 short beeps for elevated temperature/fever.
Underarm use: Wipe the armpit dry and place the tip under the arm. Hold the arm against the body.
Oral use: Place the tip under the tongue, left or right. Keep the mouth closed.
Rectal use: Insert a maximum of 1.3 cm into the rectum with a water-soluble lubricant (no petroleum jelly).
