Healthypharm Mebendazole 100 mg tablets belong to the group of medicines called anthelmintics. Mebendazole kills worms, larvae, and eggs. It is effective against infections of pinworms, roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms.

In severe infections with hookworms or whipworms, if a complete cure does not occur, a reduction in egg excretion of at least 90% can take place.

Consult a GP:

• For worms other than pinworms or roundworms.
• For pinworms (thin, pale yellow/white moving worms of 0.5-1 cm, often causing itching in the anal area): if the worms have not disappeared two weeks after the second dose of mebendazole, despite good hygienic measures.
• For roundworms (thick round worm(s) 10-30 cm long and 3-6 mm thick): if the worms have not disappeared two weeks after a repeated treatment with mebendazole.
• For pregnant women and children with a worm infection other than pinworms.
