Small wounds or burns can significantly disrupt your daily routine and require careful treatment to promote recovery. When a wound does not heal optimally, the risk of infections and scarring increases, which causes discomfort and uncertainty. The Heltiq Honey wound plaster offers a natural and responsible solution by creating a moist wound environment that supports your skin's recovery process.
- Supports the natural recovery of both acute and small chronic wounds through a hydro-active hydrogel.
- Has an antibacterial effect thanks to the addition of 30% medicinal honey, which helps to reduce the risk of infections.
- Minimises pain and discomfort because the plaster does not stick to the wound when removed.
- Offers convenience and continuity in your care because the plaster can also be worn in the shower or bath.
How it works
The effect of this plaster is based on the properties of medicinal honey in combination with a hydrogel. This combination ensures a moist wound environment, a scientifically recognised method to accelerate the production of new tissue. The honey helps to keep the wound clean and supports the natural barrier function of the skin, while the hydrogel shields the wound from external influences without suffocating the skin.
