How it works

Heltiq Wratweg uses cryotherapy, a reliable freezing method based on the effective technology also used by GPs. The active ingredient dimethyl ether freezes the wart or verruca quickly and in a controlled manner to the core. Thanks to the innovative dosing cap, you can match the amount of cold exactly to the size and type of the wart. As a result, the tissue of the wart dies off gradually, after which healthy, new skin is created underneath.

Use & Dosage

Treatment of hand and foot warts:
Do not remove the plastic cap from the aerosol can! First determine the size of the wart to be treated.

Size of the wart: Number of times to activate:
- Small wart (3 mm and smaller): Press firmly 3 times in succession
- Medium wart (3 mm to 5 mm): Press firmly 4 times in succession
- Large wart (6 mm): Press firmly 5 times in succession

Note: In most cases, only one treatment is necessary. For stubborn warts, the treatment can be repeated after 2 weeks. Do not treat the wart more than 4 times (always with a 2-week interval); if that has not had any result, consult your doctor. When there is a group of warts lying close together, it is recommended to treat each wart separately with intervals of 2 weeks. If you are treating more than 2 warts, we advise you to wait a day before treating another wart. Only use for warts on hands and feet, not on delicate skin areas such as the neck, armpits, breasts or buttocks. For stubborn hand and foot warts, you can treat the wart according to the instructions, wait 10 seconds and repeat the treatment. Sometimes it helps to moisten or roughen the wart before you start treating.

Treatment of verrucas:
Do not remove the plastic cap from the aerosol can! Position the wart upwards so that the opening of the cap can be placed over the wart. Place the opening of the cap in such a way that the edge of the cap fits well against the skin. Hold the cap firmly and activate the aerosol can by pressing it firmly with your thumb 3 times in succession. Then hold the cap on the verruca for another 5 seconds. Remove the aerosol can from the verruca. If you are treating 2 verrucas, you must wait one minute so that the cap can return to room temperature. Clean the opening of the cap after use with an included cleaning wipe. Especially with very sensitive verrucas, one of the included plasters can offer extra protection after the treatment.
