How it works

HG Furniture Restorer Light Wood is a specialist maintenance product that penetrates deep into the wood fibres to tackle discolouration and minor damage. The formula is specifically tailored to light wood types and restores the moisture balance and colour depth of the wood surface. Due to the restorative effect, superficial signs of use are camouflaged and the wood regains its natural appearance, provided the varnish layer is permeable to moisture and the damage is in the wood itself.

Use & Dosage

Always test HG furniture restorer on a small, inconspicuous area first. Apply this product generously in straight lines in the direction of the grain and leave to work for 6-10 hours. In the meantime, treat any areas where the product has been fully absorbed again. After the soaking time, wipe away any excess material with a clean cloth. Wait eight days before repeating the treatment. If the surface is waxed, apply HG furniture restorer generously and remove the loosened wax after 2 hours. Then treat as described above. Attention: Transport and store the bottle upright. Can also be used on varnished lighter wood types provided the varnish layer is permeable to moisture. Dark spots and rings will not be removed. If a varnish layer is damaged by, for example, moisture or heat, this will also look like stains. However, these stains are not in the wood and therefore cannot be repaired by this product. Do not use on lye-treated wood types. High-gloss surfaces may become slightly duller. Because the wood regains its natural colour after the treatment, it may become slightly darker.
