Are you feeling inexplicably tired lately or do you notice that you are out of breath more quickly during light exertion? A listless feeling and a pale appearance can significantly hinder your daily routine, leaving you without the energy you desire. The Iron check self-test from Testjezelf.nu offers you a reliable way to gain insight into your ferritin levels from home, so you can take targeted action for your well-being.
- Direct insight into your iron stores by measuring ferritin in the blood.
- Fast results within five minutes, so you do not have to remain in uncertainty for long.
- Simple and almost painless to perform thanks to the included finger pricker.
- High accuracy for a reliable indication of a potential iron deficiency.
How it works
The Iron-Check is a qualitative self-test that specifically measures the concentration of ferritin. Ferritin is an essential protein responsible for storing iron in your cells. A value below 30 ng/ml indicates a deficiency, which can be associated with symptoms such as headaches or fatigue. By using a small amount of capillary blood, obtained via a simple finger prick, this test allows you to check your personal status in a scientifically sound manner.

Ingredients
The packaging contains the following components for performing the test: a test cassette, a single-use buffer, a lancet (finger pricker), an alcohol pad, a capillary dropper, and a Dutch-language manual.
Use & Dosage
Clean the fingertip with the alcohol pad and use the finger pricker to prick the side of the fingertip (massaging vigorously beforehand promotes blood flow). Collect the blood with the capillary dropper and add it to the test opening of the cassette. After the blood has been fully absorbed, add one drop of the buffer solution. Read the result after exactly five minutes. A positive result (two lines at C and T) means a level above 30 ng/ml. Only a line at the C indicates an iron deficiency.
Safety & Disclaimer
Medical device. Read the enclosed manual carefully and in its entirety before use. If an iron deficiency is detected or in case of persistent complaints, it is advisable to contact a doctor to discuss the result and any follow-up steps. If no line is visible at the C-line, the test is invalid and you must perform a new test. Store sealed in the original packaging.
