How it works
The active substance loperamide hydrochloride targets the intestinal wall specifically. Ingredients
LACTOSE monohydrate, maize starch, talc, magnesium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171), quinoline yellow (E104), indigotine (E132), iron oxide yellow (E172) and iron oxide black (E172).
Use & Dosage
Take with a few sips of liquid, do not chew. Adults acute diarrhoea: start with 2 capsules, then 1 capsule after each loose stool (max. 8 per day). Adults chronic: start with 2 capsules per day, adjust until 1-2 times daily solid stool (max. 8 per day). Children over 8 years: dosage depends on body weight (see table in package leaflet), start with 1 capsule. Pay attention to the maximum daily dosage.
Safety & Disclaimer
Do not use in children under 2 years of age; capsules not under 8 years. Stop use in case of constipation or abdominal swelling. Do not use in case of allergy to the ingredients, poisoning, megacolon, constipation, persistent abdominal pain with high fever, or blood in the stool. During pregnancy: consult a doctor. During breastfeeding: must NOT be used. Risk of dehydration: drink 2 litres of water per day. Can cause dizziness or drowsiness; in that case, do not drive. Read the package leaflet before use.
