Indication
Mebendazole Teva 100 mg is used for the treatment of infections caused by one or more types of worms, including threadworms, roundworms, whipworms and hookworms.
Use
This medicinal product is used to treat worm infections.
Do not use if
Do not use this medicine if you are hypersensitive to mebendazole or any of the excipients. Signs of hypersensitivity may include skin rash, itching, shortness of breath or swelling of the face. Stop using the product immediately and consult your doctor.
Use in children under 2 years of age only after consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.
Composition
Active substance: each tablet contains 100 mg mebendazole.
Excipients: maize starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, gelatin, glycerol (E422), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), sodium starch glycolate, sodium saccharin (E954), crospovidone (E1202), colloidal silicon dioxide (E551) and magnesium stearate (E470b).
Dosage
The dosage depends on the type of worm infection.
Threadworms: one tablet as a single dose. All household members should be treated at the same time. Repeat the treatment after 14 days. If necessary, the course may be repeated.
Roundworms, whipworms, hookworms and mixed infections: one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening for three consecutive days. If complete recovery has not been achieved after three weeks, the treatment may be repeated.
The stated dosages apply to both adults and children from 2 years of age.
Children under 2 years

Method of administration
The tablets may be taken with or without food. They can be chewed or swallowed whole with water or another liquid. For young children, the tablet may be crushed. Always supervise a child while taking this medicine.
