Metamucil Sugar Free Orange, 3.4g per sachet, powder for oral suspension, mixes with the intestinal contents and has the ability to absorb water. This ensures a soft, non-irritating bulk in the intestine, which stimulates bowel function and thus promotes bowel movements.

What this medicine is used for
Long-term or recurring constipation.

Do not use if

• You are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine.
• There is a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts longer than 2 weeks.
• You have rectal bleeding that has not yet been diagnosed, or if you are unable to have a bowel movement after using a medicine that promotes bowel movements (laxative).
• You have sudden abdominal pain.
• You have a narrowing or obstruction in the gastrointestinal tract.
• You have difficulty swallowing or another throat problem.
• In case of phenylketonuria in children and pregnant women.
• For children under 6 years of age, only on prescription from your doctor.

Take extra care with
Consult a doctor before use if you have diabetes mellitus. Do not take shortly before bedtime.
