How it works

The unique Beltane method splits the preparation into two phases to extract the maximum flavour from the herbs. Herb mix 1 is specially developed for searing in oil; the heat allows the fat-soluble aromas to open up fully. You then add herb mix 2 during the stewing process with the tomatoes and water, giving the sauce a full, harmonious structure and flavour. This process supports the preservation of the natural qualities of the ingredients.

Herb mix 1 for searing: salt, garlic*, coriander*, oregano*, savory*, rosemary*, cinnamon*. Herb mix 2 for stewing: salt, rice flour*, raw cane sugar*, potato starch*, onion*, paprika*, CELERY*, pepper*, carrot*, leek*, basil*, sunflower oil*. *certified organic

Use & Dosage

1. Prepare the water and preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven 150°C).
2. Put 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil together with herb mix 1 (the small sachet) in a non-stick pan.
Place this on the heat and warm the mixture. Add the minced meat as soon as you start to smell the herbs and sear it.
3. Add the tomato pieces, water, and herb mix (the large sachet). Stir well and bring to a brief boil.
4. Layer the sauce and lasagne sheets alternately in an ovenproof dish. Start with the sauce and finish with it.
Sprinkle grated cheese over the dish and bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes in the oven.
