How it works
Otrivin Duo combines xylometazoline hydrochloride and ipratropium bromide. While one substance helps to constrict the blood vessels in the nose to reduce swelling, the other specifically focuses on curbing the runny nose. This synergy makes it an effective remedy for adults dealing with complex cold symptoms where a single nasal spray is often insufficient.

Ingredients
Xylometazoline hydrochloride, ipratropium bromide, disodium edetate, glycerol 85%, purified water, sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid.
Use & Dosage
Adults: one spray in each nostril when needed, maximum 3 times per day and for no longer than 7 days. A period of at least 6 hours must be observed between two doses. Do not use more than 3 sprays per day in each nostril. It is advisable to stop treatment with Otrivin Duo as soon as symptoms improve, even if this is sooner than 7 days, to reduce the risk of side effects. Blow nose before use, head slightly forward and sprayer upright, 1 spray per nostril and inhale simultaneously through the nose.

Do not use in children under 18 years of age. Do not use if allergic to any of the substances, atropine or similar substances; after removal of the pituitary gland or brain surgery via the nose/mouth; in case of glaucoma or a very dry nose. Do not use for longer than 7 days. Consult a doctor in the case of the elderly, cardiovascular diseases, thyroid disorders, diabetes, enlarged prostate or use of antidepressants. Must NOT be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless on strict medical advice. Avoid contact with the eyes. May cause dizziness or visual disturbances; in that case, do not drive.
