When you are trying to conceive, the uncertainty surrounding your fertile days can cause anxiety and tension. Manually tracking your cycle via temperature methods or inaccurate saliva tests often gives unclear results, which may cause you to miss the most important days of the month. The Testjezelf.nu Ovulation Test Cassette with Precision Pipette offers the reliable support you need during this special period. By accurately measuring the luteinising hormone (LH) in your urine, this clinically validated test helps you to map out your most fertile days exactly, which significantly increases the chance of a natural pregnancy.
Key benefits
- Maximum sensitivity: The test is clinically proven to be 100% sensitive to the LH hormone, meaning even minimal hormone surges are reliably detected.
- Optimal dosage via precision pipette: Thanks to the included pipette, you always add exactly the right amount of urine, which greatly increases reliability compared to dipstick tests.
- Fast and clear result: Within 5 minutes, the test provides clarity about your approaching ovulation via a clear control and test membrane.
- Suitable for irregular cycles: The pack contains 7 complete cassette tests as standard, allowing you to test over a longer period to find your fertile window.
How it works
The Testjezelf.nu Ovulation Test uses an advanced immunochromatographic method to detect the presence of the LH hormone in urine. This hormone rises abruptly 24 to 36 hours before ovulation occurs. Unlike simple dipsticks or unreliable saliva tests, the cassette setup in combination with the precision pipette ensures a controlled flow of liquid over the test membrane. This minimises user errors and ensures consistent measurement quality, comparable to the tests used in professional clinics and hospitals.

The desiccant in the test packaging can be disposed of with household waste. Extra required (not included): Clean jar to collect urine and a watch or stopwatch.
Use & Dosage
The first test day (out of a total of 7 days to be tested) is determined based on the length of your ovulation cycle previously observed by you. The first day is taken as the day on which your first bleeding (period) occurs. The table below indicates the relevant and corresponding first test day (start of the test) for different ovulation cycles.
Cycle in days 1st Test day
26 10th Cycle day
27 10th Cycle day
28 11th Cycle day
29 11th Cycle day
30 12th Cycle day
31 12th Cycle day
32 13th Cycle day
33 13th Cycle day
For shorter, longer, or irregular cycles, it is best to determine the best starting moment for the test in consultation with your doctor. For irregular cycles, an extension of the test duration may be advisable.
1) Test preparation
• If the test has been stored in the refrigerator, let it come to room temperature first.
• Have a clean (free of soap residue or detergent) and dry plastic cup or glass and a watch or stopwatch at hand.
For every test day, there is a Cassette Ovulation Test (total 7) including a pipette available.
2) Collecting urine
The urine to be collected must be collected at the same time every day. Do not use morning urine for this; it has become too concentrated during the night and can give an incorrect test result.
Do not consume an excessive amount of drink or liquid for 3 hours before the test; this can lead to excessive dilution of the urine. If desired, the urine can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. However, refrigerated urine must absolutely be brought to room temperature before using the test!
3) Performing the test
• Read the package leaflet carefully first.
• Tear open the foil and remove the cassette and the plastic pipette from the packaging. Place the cassette on a flat surface. The opened test must be used immediately.
Result window Test window
• Use the pipette to draw up some urine and drip 5 drops into the round test window. You will see the light pink coloured liquid slowly move to the result window.
• Wait exactly 5 minutes. Within this time, you will see 1 or 2 red lines appear in the Result window.
• Immediately read the result afterwards and note it down together with the date and time of testing in the table as shown on the 2nd page of this package leaflet.
4) Assessment of the test
The red lines in the Result window under the designations "T" (Test line) and "C" (Control line) are assessed. The brightness of the Test line (light or dark red) depends on the LH concentration. Over time, this will colour darker, and it is therefore important to observe the reading time of 5 minutes.
