A busy life demands a lot from your body, and it can sometimes be a challenge to get enough fresh and vital nutrients every day. A shortage of active nutrients can affect your natural balance and energy level. With Peuleschil Organic green peas, you bring the pure power of nature into your home. By sprouting these organic seeds yourself at home, you create an extremely fresh, vibrant source of nutrition in no time that enriches your daily meals and supports your overall vitality in a responsible way.
The germination process unlocks the hidden reserves in the green pea. As soon as the seed comes into contact with water and oxygen, enzymes are activated that convert complex nutrients into more easily digestible and better absorbable compounds. This makes green pea sprouts a valuable, natural addition to your daily routine. VitAdvice supports your conscious lifestyle by providing you with high-quality sprouting seeds with which you take control of the freshness of your food yourself.

Organic green pea sprouting seeds
1. Place one to two tablespoons of seeds in a preserving jar and add plenty of lukewarm/warm water. [Any glass jar is suitable, provided it is large enough (min. 1½ litres) and the neck is not (too) narrowed.]
2. Secure a plastic or fibreglass mesh screen over the jar using a sturdy (postman's) elastic band. Preferably do not use aluminium mesh as this is sometimes treated against insects.
3. Drain the water after the indicated soaking time¹, rinse the seeds, and drain the water again.
4. Place the jar at room temperature, tilted upside down in a colander, rack, or container so that excess water can drain away.
[It is important that all water can drain away; the water that remains on the sprouts is sufficient to keep the germination process going. It is also important that the seeds/sprouts do not cover the entire mesh. For a good result, it is of great importance that there is sufficient air supply. Therefore, distribute the seeds/sprouts along the length of the jar after each rinse.]
Do not place the jar with seeds/sprouts on the heater or in direct sunlight!
5. Rinse the seeds/sprouts during the indicated cultivation period² ± 3 times per day, and always place the jar back tilted upside down afterwards.
6. Allow the sprouts to dry-grow in the jar (tilted upside down) after the very last rinse* at room temperature for at least 18 hours before consuming them and/or putting them in the fridge.
* If desired, the last rinse can be replaced by a 'washing action' to remove the skins from the sprouts:
-Fill a small basin or similar to the brim with lukewarm/warm water.
-Place the sprouts in this, and 'wash' the sprouts loose.
-Skim off the skins by 'waving' them over the edge of the basin.
-Scoop the sprouts out of the water by hand and put them back in the jar.
-Secure the mesh again, place the jar tilted upside down, and allow to dry-grow at room temperature for at least 18 hours.
Store remaining sprouts chilled (max. 7°C) and covered (not airtight).
¹ Soaking time: ± 10 hours
* Cultivation period: ± 4 days
Store the bag of sprouting seeds in a dry, sealed, and dark place. This product is a natural food product and is intended to support a healthy lifestyle, not as a replacement for a varied and balanced diet.
