Reactine Antihistamine contains the active substance cetirizine dihydrochloride. This is an anti-allergic medicine that helps block the effects of histamine, a substance the body produces during an allergic reaction. Microcrystalline cellulose, LACTOSE, macrogol 400, magnesium stearate, hypromellose (E464), colloidal silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide (E171).
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older: 10 mg once daily (one tablet once daily).
Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 mg twice daily (half a tablet twice daily).
Patients with moderate to severe impairment in kidney function: Patients are advised to use 5 mg once daily.
Maximum dosage: 0.5-1 tablet per 24 hours.
Instructions for use: take with a large amount of water. In case of moderate to severe impairment in kidney function: half a tablet once a day. If there is no improvement in the complaint after 3 days of use, consult a doctor. Read the leaflet before use. Pay attention to the maximum daily dosage.

Do not use if:
• you have a severe impairment in kidney function (severe renal failure with a creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min)
• you are allergic to cetirizine dihydrochloride, hydroxyzine, piperazine derivatives (closely related active ingredients of other medicines) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• you have hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, total lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Extra caution with:
This medicine may reduce reaction speed and therefore be dangerous when driving or operating machinery. We advise you to read the leaflet before use.
Ensure children play safely (for example, not high on a climbing frame) if they have used this medicine.
Consult a doctor before use in case of epilepsy, urination problems or an enlarged prostate.
This (self-care) medicine affects the results of allergy tests; stop using this medicine three days before the test.
Stop use immediately in case of fever, redness and pustules and consult a doctor.
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding:
During pregnancy: Must NOT be used.
During breastfeeding: Must NOT be used.
Other information:
Consult a GP in case of: People who are short of breath or wheezing; People with very swollen eyes and coloured eye discharge; People with symptoms on only one side of the nose; People with moderate to severe symptoms where the medicines do not help sufficiently; Women who are pregnant and have these symptoms for the first time; Reaction to Oak Processionary Moth: In case of thickening lips, tongue or eyelids, or shortness of breath and wheezing; Reaction to Oak Processionary Moth: In case of eye symptoms that do not improve after rinsing the eyes; Reaction to Oak Processionary Moth: In case of symptoms that do not decrease after 2 weeks.
Do not use with: Intolerance to certain sugars. Not together with alcohol or substances that suppress the central nervous system, see leaflet. Epilepsy. Problems with emptying the bladder.
