Ingredients
Baking mix: corn starch, sugar, corn flour, rice flour, sorbitol, baking powder (acidifier diphosphate, raising agent sodium bicarbonate), thickener guar gum, flavouring, salt.
Chocolate flakes: sugar, cocoa mass, low-fat cocoa powder, emulsifier lecithin, anti-caking agent gum arabic and shellac.
Cocoa fantasy (glaze): sugar, vegetable fats (palm, coconut, shea), low-fat cocoa powder, lactose, emulsifier: lecithin.
Use & Dosage
Ingredients to add yourself: 3 eggs (size M), 150 grams soft butter, 1 tablespoon water and a little extra flour or starch to dust the baking tin.
Preparation method:
Put the baking mix, the soft butter (or margarine), the water and the eggs in a mixing bowl. Mix everything with an electric mixer, first on the lowest setting and then beat for about 3 minutes on the highest setting until a creamy batter is formed. Then add the chocolate flakes and stir them in briefly.
Grease a rectangular cake tin of approximately 25 centimetres and dust it with a little starch. Scoop the batter into the tin and smooth the top. Bake the cake in the middle of a preheated oven. After about 15 minutes of baking time, cut the cake lengthwise to a depth of about 1 centimetre. Check for doneness before the end of the baking time with a wooden skewer.
After baking, let the cake cool briefly, remove it from the tin and let it cool further on a wire rack. After about 1 hour, place the closed sachet of glaze in boiling hot water for 10 to 15 minutes. Cut open the sachet and spread the liquid glaze evenly over the cooled cake with a knife.
Baking time and temperature:
Top and bottom heat: approximately 180°C (preheated).
Gas oven: setting 3.
Fan oven: approximately 160°C.
Baking time: approximately 25 minutes.
