How it works

Calcium is an essential mineral that plays a key role in building the skeleton. When the body does not receive enough calcium through food or when the need is temporarily increased, extra supply can have a beneficial effect on bone quality. These effervescent tablets contain calcium carbonate which quickly breaks down in water into a well-absorbable form of calcium. Active ingredients: calcium carbonate. Excipients: citric acid (E330), malic acid (E296), sodium bicarbonate (E500), sodium cyclamate (E952), sodium carbonate (E500), lemon flavouring (contains, among other things, sorbitol (E420)), sodium saccharin (E954).

Use & Dosage

The usual daily dosage is 1 tablet. In severe cases of calcium loss or deficiency, up to 4 tablets of Calcium Sandoz effervescent 500 mg may be required. Do not use for longer than 14 days without consulting a doctor. When more than 1 tablet per day is required, it is recommended to divide the daily dosage over several intakes. Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 tablet of Calcium Sandoz effervescent 500 mg per day (500 mg per day). Children aged 10 to 18 years: 2 tablets of Calcium Sandoz effervescent 500 mg per day (1000 mg per day). Read the package leaflet before use. Pay attention to the maximum daily dosage.

Do not use in case of: You are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine. When the calcium level in your blood and urine is too high, this medicine must not be used. If your kidneys are not working properly, you must not use this medicine. You must not take this medicine if you have to stay in bed for a long period and the calcium level in your blood and/or urine is too high. Treatment with this medicine may only be resumed once you are back on your feet. Consult a doctor before use if you are on a sodium-restricted diet, have kidney problems, or have insufficient parathyroid function.
