Use & Dosage

The recommended dose is:
Adults and children aged 12 years or older: take 1 tablet, once a day.
Children aged 2 to 12 years weighing more than 30 kg: take 1 tablet, once a day.
Children under 2 years or weighing less than 30 kg: this medicine must not be given to children under 2 years or weighing less than 30 kg.
Patients with severe liver problems: adults and children weighing more than 30 kg should start with a lower dose: take 1 tablet of this medicine every other day (1 tablet every 2 days).
Elderly patients and patients with kidney problems: a dosage adjustment is not necessary.

Maximum dosage: 1 tablet per 24 hours.

Instructions for use:
1. Tear off 1 part of the packaging along the dotted line.
2. Pull the foil open in the direction of the arrow and carefully remove the tablet. Do not push the tablet out of the foil.
3. Place the tablet on the tongue after it has been removed from the packaging. The tablet melts immediately in the mouth. Water is not needed to swallow the tablet.
4. In case of severe liver problems, the dosage advice is 1 tablet every other day.
5. If there is no improvement in the complaint, do not use for longer than 10 days without consulting a doctor.

Consult a GP in case of: People who are short of breath or wheezing; People with very swollen eyes and coloured eye discharge; People with complaints on only one side of the nose; People with moderate to severe complaints where the medicines do not help sufficiently; Women who are pregnant and have these complaints for the first time; Reaction to Oak Processionary Moth: In case of thickening lips, tongue or eyelids, or shortness of breath and wheezing, in case of eye complaints that do not improve after rinsing the eyes, or in case of complaints that do not decrease after 2 weeks.

Interactions: This medicine may interact with agents that inhibit certain substances in the liver, resulting in increased levels of loratadine. This increases the chance of side effects.
