Betadine Scrub 500 ml is a reliable disinfectant that provides effective hygiene. Registered under RVG 08939 UAD, this product contains the active substance povidone-iodine (75 mg/ml). It has been specifically developed for the thorough disinfection of surgeons' hands and for skin disinfection in patients prior to surgery, helping to ensure a safe environment for medical procedures.
To disinfect the hands and forearms of surgeons, rub 5 ml of the scrub in twice for 2.5 minutes each time, followed by rinsing. For patient skin disinfection, moisten the surgical area and rub thoroughly for 5 minutes. Remove the foam with a damp, sterile gauze and then apply a disinfectant. This product is for external use only.
Always consult the patient information leaflet before use. Do not use Betadine Scrub if you are allergic to povidone-iodine or if you have an overactive thyroid gland, particularly over large areas of skin. Stop use immediately if redness, itching, or pain occurs on the skin and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Exercise extra caution in cases of thyroid disorders, impaired kidney function, or when undergoing skin treatment with a product containing mercury. Always consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Use in newborns must be kept to an absolute minimum. Stains on skin, linen, wool, and silk are easily removed with water; for some synthetic fibres, diluted ammonia may be effective.
