Ingredients
The active substances in this medicine are lidocaine hydrochloride and propyl-4-hydroxybenzoate. The other excipients in this product are magnesium stearate, potassium aluminium sulphate, peppermint oil and sorbitol.
Use & Dosage
Adults and young adults aged 12 to 18 years: Up to 8 lozenges per day, with a maximum of 1 lozenge every 2 hours. Children between 6 and 11 years: Up to 6 lozenges per day, with a maximum of 1 lozenge every 2 hours. The medicine must be administered under the supervision of an adult. Children under 6 years: Trachitol is not suitable for children under 6 years. Maintain 2-hour intervals; dissolve slowly in the mouth, do not swallow and do not chew. If there is no improvement in the complaint after 3 days of use, consult a doctor. Do not use for longer than 7 days. Read the leaflet before use.
Safety & Disclaimer
Do not use if hypersensitive to lidocaine hydrochloride or other local anaesthetic medicines of the amide type, to propyl-4-hydroxybenzoate or to any of the excipients. Do not eat or drink immediately after taking the lozenge. Be extra careful with hot drinks or food due to the risk of burning. Do not use in case of intolerance to certain sugars. Consult a GP in case of shortness of breath, wheezing, complaints on only one side of the head, swallowing problems, drooling, chronic illnesses or when the sore throat lasts longer than 10 days with fever.
