Effective wound healing begins with the right moisture balance, but managing wound exudate in superficial wounds can be challenging. When a dressing does not fit well or does not absorb sufficiently, it can delay healing and increase the risk of irritation. Suprasorb P offers an advanced solution with polyurethane foam that tackles excess moisture directly at the source, creating an optimal climate for your skin to recover.
- Rapid and safe absorption of wound exudate through the fine pores and strong capillary action directly at the wound bed.
- Creates a moist wound environment thanks to the semi-permeable polyurethane backing layer, which is essential for faster tissue regeneration.
- Bacteria- and moisture-proof membrane protects the wound against external influences and infection risks from the outside.
- High wearing comfort due to the soft, flexible structure that effortlessly adapts to the contours of the wound bed.
How it works
Suprasorb P uses an innovative polyurethane structure that works in two ways: it powerfully absorbs moisture from the inside, while the outer layer allows the wound to 'breathe' without letting water or bacteria through. This balance in moisture management ensures that the dressing retains its shape even after saturation. The soft wound contact layer is also gentle on fragile new tissue, making Suprasorb P a reliable choice in all phases of wound healing.

Use & Dosage
Suprasorb P can be used as a secondary dressing as part of regular antimicrobial treatment for wounds with an infection risk. In a dry state, Suprasorb P is easy to cut to size for the specific wound. The dressing should extend approx. 2 cm beyond the wound edge. The interval between dressing changes is determined by the attending physician, at the latest after 5-7 days. As soon as the discolouration reaches the wound edge, the dressing must be changed.
