A new tattoo requires careful attention to optimally support skin recovery. Without the right aftercare, the skin may feel tight or the quality of the tattoo may be affected by external influences. Bepanthen Tattoo Aftercare Ointment offers a responsible solution that places a protective layer over the tattooed skin, giving it the necessary rest to recover naturally while allowing the skin to breathe.
- Supports the natural recovery process of the skin through the addition of 5% dexpanthenol (pro-vitamin B5).
- Forms a protective, greasy layer that shields the skin from external influences without clogging the pores.
- Soothes tattooed skin immediately, which helps with a more comfortable feeling during the recovery period.
- Free from colourants, preservatives, and perfume, making the ointment mild for sensitive skin.
How it works
The effectiveness of this ointment relies on the high concentration of fats (70%) and dexpanthenol. Unlike a cream, which consists largely of water, this ointment creates a semi-occlusive barrier. This means the skin is protected against dirt and friction, while oxygen permeability is maintained. This is essential for maintaining the natural strength and balance of the skin after getting a tattoo. The formula is widely recommended by tattoo artists and meets the guidelines for responsible aftercare.
